LCPL
LCPL Aaron Boyles was born October 7, 1979 in Oregon and was raised by his grandparents. His senior year of high school he moved to the Bay Area in CA to live with his mother.
Aaron deployed to Iraq with his unit in 2003, Headquarters and Service Company, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center out of Twentynine Palms, CA. He was wounded in 2004 while in Iraq and was offered the chance to return home but Aaron accepted his Purple Heart and asked to stay with his Marines in Iraq.
Even though he was known as being tough and fearless and he had found his calling in the Marines, he was a very happy person and was always laughing. He loved football and country music.
Aaron was killed September 24, 2004 by enemy fire in Anbar Province, Iraq. He was two weeks out from returning home for the birth of his child. He is survived by his wife, Prabha, two sons, his parents and siblings. We were honored to meet Prabha in 2019 at a Survivors of Heroes Retreat.
